Dev D is a modern take on Devdas the novel written by Sarat Chandra. Though Devdas has been adapted on screen many times and by some illustrious filmmakers like P.C.Barua and Bimal Roy Dev.D will still appear as fresh and riveting a tale of love lost and self destruction. Classically Devdas has been hailed as the ultimate lover who drowns himself when he looses his love and goes into the path of self-destruction. Dev.D on the other hand unabashedly proclaims Dev as the hypocrite who drowns in self pity and as a man who could not stand up for himself. Dev.D breaks all the typecasts of the original novel including it‘s principal characters. Dev.D in essence is the tale of a man who goes into self destruction but the circumstances and the characters he meets are the people we meet and know and are of this generation. Unlike prior endeavours by filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Dev D is set in modern world where plastic money like ATM debit and Credit cards play more important role than hard cash, there is advance mode of communication like mobile, internet chatting instead of traditional means like telegrams. Globalization has expanded the horizon of technological availability. Dev.D will be shot in the winters of Punjab and Delhi. The backdrop to this saga oscillates between the rustic and colorful Punjab to the Foggy and Dingy lanes of Pahadganj, connaought place and Old Delhi. Dev.D has been scripted by Anurag Kashyap the writer of contemporary classics of cinema like Satya, Kaun, Shool,Yuva,Water. He has also directed the critically acclaimed Black Friday and the soon to release No-Smoking with John Abraham. Delhi-6 is a forthcoming Bollywood film to be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra that will star Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, and Divya Dutta. The movie is reportedly based on Mehra's growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. The film will be Mehra's third directorial venture after critically acclaimed Aks and the immensely successful Rang De Basanti, which was India's official entry to the Oscars.

KYA LOVE STORY HAI is the story of a carefree and wayward youth, Arjun [Tusshar Kapoor], who experiences love-at-first-sight with Kaajal [Ayesha Takia]. It isn’t a typical meet-cute situation - he follows her for some time before succeeding in breaking the ice.

For Kaajal, Arjun is a mere acquaintance, but the latter is in love with her and afraid of conveying his feelings. On befriending her, he learns that she lost her mother years back and that her father was busy traveling abroad on business.

A situation arises when Kaajal comes across a letter, which Arjun has written for the girl he loves, but she doesn’t know to whom he is referring. Arjun deliberately asks her how she would reciprocate his love if she were the girl he was in love with?

Kaajal’s reply leaves Arjun self-introspecting, making him mysteriously disappear from the scene.

In the mean time, a successful and snooty entrepreneur meets Kaajal. Following some heated verbal scuffles with her, he concludes that she would make for an appropriate life-partner because she was a stabilizing influence and kept him mellow.

When Arjun returns to South Africa, during an astonishingly coincidental encounter, he finds Kaajal engaged to the entrepreneur!

Destiny has entangled three hearts, but who will emerge victorious? Who will make the grand gesture? KYA LOVE STORY HAI is a feel-good romantic comedy oriented at young love. It has been beautifully shot in exquisite South Africa and its OST features five chart-busting numbers.
